Customer Support Coordinator - Birmingham

Based at the Palletline Central Hub, Starley Way, Birmingham B37 7HB

An enthusastic Administrator is required to work within an existing team to administer and support customers in a palletised distribution network environment. The team aims to provide the highest possible levle of service by promptly processing and responding to telephone, email and web contact both from our member companies as well as external customers.

The team has an operational bias and will also communicate with members on a daily basis regarding vehicle capacity and any service issues.

The role would be most suited to an individual with experience of the transport & distribution industry however full training would be provided to an otherwise excellent candidate.

Main Job Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Deal directly with customers either by telephone or electronically
  • Respond promptly to member/customer enquiries
  • Handle and resolve member/customer complaints
  • Obtain and evaluate all relevant information to handle enquiries and complaints
  • Process online jobs and proactively manage service levels
  • Manage centralised accounts
  • Record specific customer enquiries, comments and complaints
  • Record details of actin taken and manage onward deliveries
  • Communicate and coordinate with internal departments
  • Arrange courier requirements

    Key Requirements

  • Good level of general education include Maths & English GCSE or equivalent
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Knowledge of general administrative practices and written customer contact
  • Knowledge of Pallet Networks and Transport Management systems advantageous
